Chickens & Ducks

Welcome to the Brooder and the Coop

What We Do Here

Egg Layers

Rhode Island Reds

Rhode Island Reds

Straight from our free-ranging flock comes a surplus of small chickens with a variety of colors and temperaments. Most are "Easter-eggers," laying nearly one medium-sized colored egg every day during warmer months.

Available Regularly!

These chickens grow larger than the egg layers, with large, less frequent eggs. They are self-sufficient and provide a good source of both meat and eggs in one good-looking, even-tempered, time-tested,   dual-purpose breed.

Pullets Available Soon!

Pekin Ducks

These large ducks are a meat variety, however they do provide 5-7 eggs per week through warmer months. A chef's favorite (as I can attest to as a former chef) they provide tender meat for proper cooking and good fat for rendering.
